Bio
Astrid Guardado focuses her practice on state and federal litigation actions, with an emphasis on community association matters, business disputes and real estate conflicts. Ms. Guardado also supervises the collection and foreclosure department of the Firm’s Tampa Bay Regional office.
In addition to her business litigation practice, Ms. Guardado is experienced in handling a variety of employment disputes, including those related to age and sexual discrimination and harassment, wrongful discharge and issues related to unemployment benefits. She also handles appellate and insurance defense issues, governmental advocacy, bankruptcy actions and landlord-tenant matters.
EXPERIENCE
Astrid has significant trial experience in the state and federal courts of central Florida, as well as appellate practice experience before the Second District Court of Appeal of Florida. Her clients have included individuals, business owners, banking institutions, many governmental and quasi-governmental agencies, in addition to countless residential and community associations.
PROFESSIONAL / COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
An active member of the community, Ms. Guardado serves on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Hispanic Bar Association. She is also a member of the Working Women of Tampa Bay, Seniors and Service, Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Inc. organizations. Ms. Guardado is a licensed Florida real estate sales associate and is fluent in Spanish.
